30. About you: Chapter - What do we need to recover from? (5)
The crisis, the immersion in the material could be solved by distinguishing the aim and the means, and so life and the existence. Catharsis or our soul’s ecstasy is a terminology that could be used for crisis solution. We are corrupt when we sunk in the material, thus corruption is nothing else than hunger for life, mania, obsession for success. All the mentioned should be and ought to be renounced. The catharsis, the realisation is the medicine to cure corruption and crisis. What do we need to recover from? Of ignorance, narrow - mindness, deviation from the middle of the road, going astray, confound right from wrong, the genuine from the fals, and blindness. Catharsis is imperative to the realisation of these turning points. Our recovery aren’t to be viewed neither by pessimism nor by optimism, but with stubborn perseverance for healing and liberation. For some of us, catharsis may be dramatic or even tragic, meaning a complete denunciation of a previous lifestyle. Doing, saying, thinking something other than having previously been done, said and thought.
Catharsis is a kind of triumph, which if needed turns into a fall. Our Initiating Master’s thrice falling and rising showed us, that the way to crucifixion, redemption and resurrection is not linear, but vertical so leading from the bottom upwards. Purification, catharsis has it’s price, but also a meaning. We are born pure and become impure. In order to reach again purity, we have to travel our own course. As in Passion, falling at least thrice is worth it’s, but should it be needed even more often. Falling is by no means the important factor, but what counts is, if we can rise? Every fall can be considered as a possible ascension, a new resurrection and return. No escape, no being lenient, no half – clean status, no chopping- off from the perpendicular part of the cross, because once we intend to prop the cross-using it as a ladder- against heaven’s door, we might just come short to pass the doorstep.
Corruption can not be silenced, actually there is no need to do that. Those wishing to do so, are deluding themselves as well as others. That kind of life is a false one. From a false life is impossible to reach existence. Life has to be intact. The lie, like corruption or crisis is an infectious disease, to be cured from. Should we lie, we deprive ourselves of the sacred time, what was given to us for making order, and to be able to turn inwards, to our universal (inner) self. Outward looking is the lie, showing the fals instead of the truth. Gnothi seauton is what we need to exercise, hence avoid becoming corrupt.
By placing ourselves in the middle of the cross, we become acquainted with existence through pure life, the basic position, to which we must strive to return. The basic position, soul’s purity, the universal self exists in everyone and can be reached if we want. Restoration of the basic (starting and returning) position is possible, at any time and for everyone. As we all keep the basic position in our inner self (universal self, the divine little spark), realization of it only requires our willingness, courage and commitment to it. The purpose and intention are the primary steps towards constrain ourselves of causing harm to others, not to lie, do not destroy culture, to avoid backstage- power manipulations, restrain from Pharisaic behaviour, to resist quality - life destroying pursuits of materialistic temptations. A suggestion to those, already submerged in the material is to attempt, lead a clean, free, satisfied life with gratitude, at the same time learn and use the given chances for becoming an inner person, e.g. by avoiding sensual desires. Be relevant, actual, concentrated, focused (experiencing flow) and meditative.
Let us ask the simple question: who directs my life? Myself, or an outside dream world, another person, perhaps the backstage power? Should the dream world direct it, then we act by our instincts, run and rush, wanting to accomplish five things per minute. In such a case, we get confused, being driven by desires, wishes e.g. I do have a house, a car, but I shall buy one more, do I have a wife/husband then I shall change for another one. Always rushing, not missing anything, being constantly anxious for fear of loosing what I have gathered. We do not even know what fear is e.g. not reaching the One and Only. Instead of all this, we ought to live, breathe fresh mountain air, splash in a cold stream, enjoy lively conversations, be loving, embracing our kids, giving a kiss to our wife/husband. Depart from modern days slavery. On the other hand, would I be able to govern my own self, then I would be in a position to detach myself from the above stated –wasted energy consuming activities-, thus utilising those energies for the benefit of myself as well as for the need of others. I may indeed recognise the possibility of returning to the basic position and the way to become an inner person.
