15. The truth and reality

The One and Only is the measure of truth, we need to measure everything to it. Man has no different truth apart from the One and Only. Should a man speak of his truth, he talks about the imperfect and time related truth. Nowadays, we talk about truth in law, in benefits, economy, investment and rate returns, in the development which is de- spiritualization, and not the universal truth. Instead of the sacred truth and order, we use the value for money, profitability, success, effectiveness, practicality, which all is nothing else, but material related concepts. This shows also the language degeneration, where only the material is present.

In the recognition of the truth, we attempt to search and use five different approaches. The first possibility is to understand ourselves, be awakened and be a participant in the initiation by ascetic (knowing ourselves) exercises. The ascetic and spiritual practices from the East bear no resemblance to the deceptive notions used to mislead Western European people, for example body torture, which is a kind of masochism. Why should the body be tortured? This also points out the misinterpretation of the teachings and behaviour of our Initiating Master, who by descending to us, sanctified the body. Asceticism means transcendental behaviour, or standing upon the earth and looking into the space.

The second possibility is to get acquainted with the other peoples, within or without the family, at work, on the street or anywhere in a given space and time. If he/she is not a person, just an individual, than fails to be a true man, and is incapable to know the One and Only truth. The person should be correct in words, thought and actions. If the truths and moral possessions of the right man are no other that the One’s truths and its supreme possession, then they are the ones seeking to bear the likeness and the One and Only image. So, the One and Only can be recognized through the true man, who has a surplus of universal ego, albeit not in his/her external aspect of the human life, but in the emptiness of the soul. The one, who is only true in mind, but not in his activities, is aberrant, mislead and a lying individual. With other words a Pharisee who abandoned the golden road. Salvation should not be based solely on activities. The true and normal man is equally true in thoughts, words and actions, meaning that similis simile gaudet. In other words, it would mean, that people look for those similar to themselves, the one true person wanting to find the other.

The third possibility in the recognition of the truth is the practice of faith, searching it’s depths in meditation. Meditation lacks the doubts and agonies of active life, thus providing man with peaceful rest, harmony and loving delight. Daily prays and thank giving are helping contemplation and the ability of fine -tuning in understanding the One's truth. The discussions with the One and Only means finding that frequency on which the One and Only continuously broadcasts to us, and we hear these messages, because we register, feel, and understand the radiating love. To vigilantly comprehend the reality of the One and Only, the world and mankind means the acceptance and love other people, as well as respecting the created world. The One’s truth is eternal, never changing, regardless how anyone articulating it. Should we protect the truth, we protect the One's truth. Truth knows neither winners nor losers, as it is eternal and timeless, notwithstanding today’s winners may be tomorrow’s losers. Therefore, man ought not to dispute over the eternal truth, and force his point to anyone, especially not within institutional frames.

The fourth possibility is the mysticism, the peak of faith. When faith failed to interpret something, mysticism is being called for assistance. A person seeking answers on how to link his dual identity (individual and universal ego) to the One and Only is called mystical, the one, who desires not only faith but also the experience of it as well. We might call it seeking grace. To understand this, we are referring to the publicly accepted trinity “I’m the way, the truth and the life” of our Initiating Master. What is the way, the truth and the life? The direction of the journey was revealed by our Initiating Master, who, like the man, accepted the problems of life, the tasks and gave an example to the people of the twenty-first century to find the right way: hear and accept the call and make order in the world. The way also means a status above time and space, the channel or corridor that our Initiating Master opened to all spiritual people. The source of truth and love is the One and Only.

The fifth possibility in knowing the One’s truth is by philosophy, because man’s basic nature is cognition, the desire for the unknown, picking of the forbidden fruit from the tree. This was the motivation in finding the correlations between cause and effect, in finding explanations, and to philosophise. What happens if I pick the fruit? Man constantly tries to find the initial cause and the ultimate goal of the world and of life. Aristotle said, "we think that our knowledge is perfect, if we get to know the first cause". The first cause for everything is the creator, the One and Only. Our aim, is therefore, to understand the One and Only, or the cause, which lead us to the effect, to the man. It is pointless to desire salvation until acknowledgement of the interrelations between cause and effect: man's ultimate purpose is to know the One and Only, thereby to know himself, to awaken to the source of his happiness and to the timeless (eternal) truth, and finally to merge with the One and Only, when the cause and effect disappear. Between cause and effect, essence and substance, source and result, is the possibility or a potential relationship. Therefore sets of possibilities and relationships exist between the One and Only, and the man. To turn the potential into reality, man’s willingness and actions (thoughts, worlds and activities) are essential. The hierarchy and interexchange of relationships provide the desired order.

Having presented the five possible ways of getting acquainted with the One and Only’s truth, we need to put the obvious and valid question: at which stage are we now in knowing the truth, and what do we need to attain? In the Western culture of nowadays the practice is on not having time neither to the family, meditations, nor for ourselves, nor to ascetic exercises, the regular practise of faith or to philosophy. But we do have and make time to submerge ourselves into the material. Time however, has been created for those, who intend to live within it, and know how to make the best use of it.
