In order to understand our spiritual freedom, the relationship between faith and religion needs to be analysed. As we have earlier referred to it, the One and Only and thus the freedom of our soul is primarily in us, in our universal ego and vigilance, but not in religions, philosophies, worldviews, arts or mythology. Secondary, we too can search for it in the other beloved soul or in the sacredness entrusted to us. Religion always assumes the power exercise, limitation, and worldview, by which someone lead the other. Religion can only be created by man. Who create religion does not understand universality, transcendence and the One and Only. The problem usually arises from the fact that religion is confused with the faith in the One and Only. Transforming faith to religion, is no other than complication of faith, where the subject is not the essential or the coessential, which is the One and Only, but sideline issues. It is normal for us to confess our faith but not to believe in religion.
Returning to faith simplicity, we note that simplicity is based on unity, with the greater spiritual freedom and not with uniformity. Simplicity is necessary because it helps to increase the clarity of seeing, perfection, freedom, order and truth that leads to the achievement of unity. Simplicity is the way in which divisions, diversity ceases and can form a single unit. The opposite of it is uniformity and equality. Quality is the missing component in uniformity, which provides multitude and diversity. Equality is therefore a quantitative category and diversity is a qualitative one. Equality as such, is plentiful without striving for pure quality or the desired simplicity, and does not intend to achieve unity.
In the forming of equality, a significant role was played by the rational, materialistic way of thinking propagated mainly by Descartes, which was combined with the eighteenth century mechanistic worldview, where the machine was the primary reason which broke down the unity of the One and Only and man. The machine as such was only an instrument, serving certain ruling interests by making it the opposing factor to man, and nowadays this status quo is still the case. As equality was applied in relation of society and man, whereby all members are equally able to perform whatever may be required of them, the phenomenon predestined the appearance of the democratic society.
Nowadays, material mindedness is the most fashionable religion, what may even be called the modern slavery, whereby man is his own victim in his material world, scarifying faith and freedom in the One and Only. Lacking the spiritual freedom, the One and Only cannot be recognized because of the missing connection. The same is applied to religion. The misleading began when the link between the One and Only and man’s freedom went unrecognized, and instead of the gnosis (intelligent knowledge) morality was put up the front. Thus, moralist behaviour became a religion. The morale is about good and bad, virtue and sin, truth and untruth and not about liberty.
Religion ought to be the same as faith, should only speak about the essence, the One and Only, the resulted substances, order, truth and liberty. Everyone, even the busiest persons have the possibility to recognise these substances due to everyone’s ability to learn and have time created for it, supposing the will is also there. However, it is more comfortable to hide behind the excuse of having no time.
