4. Intelligence and faith

The soul intelligence, its universality (sanctity), originates from the One. Without man, it makes no sense either the creation or the teachings from our Initiating Master, neither the outgrowth of intelligence and the acceptance by the universal ego. The message "I send you the Holy Spirit" is nothing else to give a meaning to the soul, because only through the intelligence is capable to accommodate the teachings. The word "finished", which is expressed on the cross, also means that we have received the knowledge (the teachings and exemplar life of our Initiating Master) and the added ability to understand it. 

The intelligence of the spirit is the one that rise up the soul and makes it universally understandable from meaningfulness and darkness. This is not to say that the spirit has always been meaningless, that before our Initiating Master there was no meaningful soul (intelligent soul), but because man's was weakened in returning, it was again necessary to reinforce it, to put again in order. It was necessary again to switch back from the sinking into material, from misleading. The universal ego of the soul carries the trinity of the One, because creation is coming from the One, the teachings, and the existence from our Initiation Master and in the same time the intellect fulfilling the teaching is also derived from the One. Note: in the Middle Age, it was a distinction between the soul with suffering intellect (the universal ego) and the acting (individual ego) soul. This later was also called the minded soul. 

Therefore, the first reason is the intelligence, the existence, the essence. The intelligent soul, the universal ego, represents existence, origin and essence. The unintelligent soul, the individual ego represents the life, the copy, the unbelieving soul, the substance. As its name indicates, the substance is below the essence. In humans the two, essence, and the subordinated substance are always together. The free will received from the One, the option to choose give the reason when and which to dominate. As faith is related to the intelligent soul, to the soul aspiring to know ourselves, follows that faith can be understood by intelligence, so understanding faith means to believe in the intelligence. The faith is seeking intelligence, the ratio is seeking the unintelligence. The faith is that the One has no plural, only one unit exist, the rest is only the derivative of this. There is only one essence, the rest is subordinate substance to this. The essence exists in itself, does not carry anything, but represents the source, the existence (esse).
